Specializing in portraiture of children and families

Although many photographers shoot inside studios, I prefer working on location using natural light. This allows me to photograph the children in a comfortable environment, allowing their genuine emotions and spontaneity to shine through. The location can be nearly anywhere: in or around your home, your favorite park or even the beach.

Based on your preference, the session can be formal or photojournalistic. You may choose to have your portraits photographed in black & white, color or both. Depending on the age and number of children, the portrait session will typically last from 1 to 2 hours. The session is casual and can include the entire family or just your children.

After the portrait session, your edited proofs are displayed in albums for your viewing. The album is available for purchase and/or prints may be ordered a la carte. A minimum print order is not required.

Personal Background

I am a Houston based portrait photographer who moved to the United States in 1993 from the Netherlands. Prior to moving to the U.S., I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Art & Textiles. It was during my college years that I developed a love for photography. When my daughter was born in 1997, I started to specialize in portraits of children. My goal with every photograph is to create a portrait that captures the character and true spirit of your child.
